what’s in the works

hello wonderful readers of poems!

the poetry store is now making poetry jewelry, using the same process as poetry art pieces–found & reused materials with some words on ’em to make a one-of-a-kind piece! right now, the jewelry line is very limited (as it’s my first run). if you’re interested in purchasing something, come and find me at the north beach art walk this weekend! (note: the square pieces pictured here also have an image and/or poem on the back!)

the poetry store also has a new series of art pieces! (see pics below) if you’re interested in purchasing something, again, come and find me at the north beach art walk this weekend! (or, send me an email.)

the poetry store is also honored to have this month’s window installation at the Femina Potens Gallery! all pieces are for sale through the gallery & they include my very own paintings, drawings, photographs, and of course, poems. if you’re in the bay area, check them out at market & sanchez in the castro. if you’re an out-of-towner, see some photos here (courtesy of julie michelle).

and last but not least, the poetry store is now making pieces in collaboration with bug under glass. yes, poetry & butterflies combined! right now we have a very limited number of pieces. (here are the pieces you can buy from me.)

thanks for all of your support & hope to see you soon!

yours in poetry,

silvi

moms love poems.

it’s true. moms love poems.* especially poems that are custom, one of a kind, and made to order just for mom.

how do i know moms love poems? because i’ve heard them say, “oh, this is lovely,” and, “what a neat idea! so thoughtful!” and, “thank you for the beautiful poem. it made me cry.”

yes, sometimes poems make moms cry. the good kind of tears. the i-feel-so-thought-of-and-loved-and-taken-care-of-kind of tears. the kind of tears you want moms to cry. and if you’re not into making mom cry, well, poems make moms smile too. and feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

so make your mom a smiling, crying, warm and fuzzy. order your mother’s day poem today!

if you’d like to order your poem in person, you can come by MILK (1840 haight street) this wednesday from 8pm-onward for a Cinco de Mayo party and some poetry from yours truly.

or, you can come by Green Apple Books (clement & 6th street) this sunday april 9th from 11am-1pm to order your poem in person. i’ll have frames to choose from and and poetry store art pieces and maybe even some wrapping paper. an instant gift (just in case you’ve left things until the last minute)!

or, you can stop by Secession Art & Design (30th & mission street) and take a look at poetry store art pieces, Julie Michelle’s photography, Colleen Maur’s jewelery, and many many more beautiful things by local artists that i’m sure your mom will love.

*okay, maybe not all moms, but probably your mom, because if you’re reading this chances are you have yet to get your mom a mother’s day gift. don’t settle for hallmark. you’re better than hallmark. your mom knows you’re better than hallmark. so get mom a custom poem. i promise she will thank you.
